Visualization tools that help you manifest the life of your Dreams.
The Law of Attraction says that you attract what you believe or focus your energy on. Considering this statement true, your thoughts can become a reality. That means that what you think, you attract. What happens if this is true, and how can I prove it? Certainly, this sounds like gibberish to you but in fact, if you truly think about it, you do attract what you think, especially what you feel.
Haven’t you been happy, having the best day ever, on your way to work, you hit all the green lights and you think Oh YEAH! It’s my Lucky Day. On the contrary, you are so mad or in a hurry, that on your way to work, you get all the red lights, and you start cursing and blaming the Universe for your bad luck. Yup, you guessed it you attracted to yourself what you were thinking, feeling, and believing at that moment. It’s hard to imagine, but if you put some thought into it, you will agree with me that at some point in your life, this has happened to you!
Now that we are all thinking about it, we can all agree that what we focus on, will attract. How can we attract into our life everything that we want? Now that is the real question, how can I bring into my life the things that I desire? It’s a simple answer but difficult to achieve, with the power of your mind.
What do I mean by the power of your mind? your mind will believe anything that you tell it. If you think about it and believe it's true, it becomes a reality. The mind cannot distinguish between what is real or not and this has been scientifically proven. If your mind cannot distinguish between reality vs imagination, why not imagine the things that you want in life on a daily basis, until they manifest themselves?
Remember that your thoughts turn into words, your words turn into actions and your actions take you to your goals and dreams. If you believe in what you think, it will become a reality. Doesn’t matter if it is a positive or a negative belief, it will become true. Instead of filling our thoughts with negativity, why not supply them with positive thoughts? Why not focus on the things we want to achieve, who we want to become, and who we want to be surrounded with and start making it happen?
How do you make this happen? There are different ways to manifest your thoughts into reality, but one method that has been scientifically proven works and I give my own personal testimony of its validity is Visualizing.
A Vision Board is a great way to visualize your goals on a daily basis, reminding yourself of them, encouraging you to move forward, and manifesting your thoughts into reality. They are a tangible representation (images) of your goals and dreams, by offering self-awareness of the future you want.
A Vision Board is a physical or digital representation of your goals and what you want to achieve in life. It is an inspirational, motivational, aspirational tool that pushes you toward your goals and aspirations. The timeframe is deliberate but most people tend to do it for a year or at the beginning of each new year, to focus the mind and make the goals achievable.
Vision boards may seem mystical or esoteric, but they are backed up by science. According to Neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart the author of the Book ‘the Source’, explains that “looking at images on a vision board primes the brain to grasp opportunities that may otherwise go unnoticed. That’s because the brain has a process called ‘value-tagging’ which imprints important things onto your subconscious and filters out unnecessary information”.
The brain sees little difference between something actually happening and a strongly imagined vision of it. Meaning that our thoughts can become a reality.
Dr. Swart says “Normally when you try something new, the body has a stress response releasing cortisol and adrenaline. In other words, new things can be scary. However, when you repeatedly look at images related to your goals, your brain no longer sees them as new. The process reduces the physiological fear response to any new situation or person, making you more likely to take healthy risks, collaborate and embrace opportunity”.
By looking at your personal images daily, it encourages and motivates you to take action, rather than dream about it. Even Ophra believes in the power of visualization and manifestation. She said, “having a vision creates a path for the future. It focuses you and allows for clarity moving forward”.
In 2015 she had a conversation about manifestation with Jeff Weiner the CEO of LinkedIn. Ophra said, “you control a lot by your thoughts, when I started to figure that out… I was like, what else can I do? What else can I manifest? Because I have seen it work. I have seen it happen over and over again”. If Ophra uses the power of visualization for manifestation and you know what she has achieved and how successful she is, don’t you think this can happen to you as well?
The process of building your own vision board entails self-reflection, meditation, journaling, emotion, and creation. Going through the process of introspection, thinking about what you want, and being creative, provides a positive emotional space that energizes your brain. It also promotes relaxation, because while you are having the creative process of building it, it occupies your mind with positive visions and emotions, removing your mind from daily stressors.
How do you start a Vision Board?
First, have your tools at hand, if it is a printed version, recommend bulletin or cardboard, magazines, printed images or clippings, scissors, glue, tape, or tacks. If you are a technological person, recommend any digital tool like your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Nowadays there are multiple apps that can help you build your own vision board or send you daily reminders.
Immerse yourself with your senses, touch, eyesight, emotions, spirituality, creativity, and positivity. Find photos, images, and messages that resonate and represent your goals and the life you want for your future.
The stronger you envision yourself living the life you want, the better signal you will give the Universe and by the Law of Attraction, you will Manifest it. Remember a Vision Board is a tool for visualization, but thought without action, will not become a reality.
A good start is journaling, by introspection and free writing you can organize your ideas and place them in order of importance, and time frame.
Here are some examples of the type of questions you can ask yourself, that can guide you in the right direction.
- What is important to you?
- What makes you happy?
- How do you envision yourself in a year, five, or ten years?
- What is your dream vacation, job or career, home, car, or transportation?
- Who inspires you and why do you want to achieve your goals?
- What experiences do you want to have in life?
- How much income do you want, and where do you want to live?
- Want family, relationships, kids, friends, or pets?
- What is self-care for you, and what do you want to achieve for your health?
- What kind of skills do you want to acquire?
- What kind of difference do you want to bring to the World?
After you have done your journaling, organize your ideas under categories. Examples of these are:
- Academic
- Health
- Finances
- Social
- Family
- Relationships
- Career or Work
- Creativity
- Spiritual
- Leisure or Vacations
After you know exactly what you want, be as creative or non-creative as your little heart desires and have fun with it. I recommend that you place your Vision Board somewhere you can visualize it on a daily basis. By doing this, it reminds and motivates you of your goals and what actions you need to take today, to make them happen, manifesting your visualization into a reality.
I made my first Vision Board in January of 2018 and my life changed by making an impact on myself and those who surround me. It has been so accurate and so successful that this year 2023, my 10-year-old daughter has seen tangible results and by this, she has made her own personalized Vision Board. Making my Vision Board at the beginning of each year, helps me focus my intention on the things I want to achieve during the year, and centers my mind with clarity and trajectory. Placing it in a visible location like my bathroom, it’s a constant reminder that I am the creator of my own destiny. It is a daily motivation, especially when I am doubtful, and encourages me to continue on my journey to success.
Remember visualization leads to manifestation, which is bringing something intangible, tangible into your life through attraction and belief. If you can think it, you can make it happen. If God places that idea into your mind, it's because you are the one to accomplish it.
I highly encourage everyone to start making their own Vision Board, this helps with self-awareness and can inspire you to be a better version of yourself. This is something that is relatively inexpensive and within your reach. It doesn’t have to be in perfect order, but the order has to make sense to YOU!
Stop procrastinating and start today, don’t wait for the beginning of the year to start, begging where you are and go from there. If you commit to the process, visualize, take real action, and the right steps to achieve your goals, you will attract miracles, and start manifesting the life of your Dreams.
Remember to be a ripple effect of positive change and be the light for others that are in the dark.
